The Silver Songsters

My latest novel The Silver Songsters(Pub. date 18th April), seems to be gathering quite a bit of media interest. Those of more mature years will still remember such variety legends as Gracie Fields, Vera Lyn, Will Hay, Donald Peers, Bert Ambrose and His Orchestra, Max Miller, Max Wall, Tommy Handley,’Snakehips’ Johnson, Stephane Grappelli and many many more whom my father in law met and performed with.

He was often top of the bill as ‘Britain’s Greatest Boy Soprano’ back in the years 1936-38, and is still lively and independent at 91. His memory is as sharp as any razor too – the novel couldn’t have been written were it otherwise!

Anyway, all will be revealed late April, so watch this space as they say – all mysterious and unforgiving relationships and so on!
